
2025 Mountain Village Municipal Election results
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, candidates Huascar E. Gomez (Rick), Harvey Mogenson and Alline Arguelles were elected to the Mountain Village Town Council to serve a four-year term. Ballot questions No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 failed and ballot question No. 5 passed.
Of the 998 Mountain Village ballots that were issued, 411 ballots were cast by mail or in-person for a 46.55 percent voter turnout. These numbers are unofficial and will be certified within 10 days.
The newly elected council members will be sworn in at the July 17, 2025 Mountain Village Town Council Meeting where they will join Marti Prohaska, Peter Duprey, Scott Pearson and Tucker Magid on council. At that meeting, town council members will appoint the position of mayor and mayor pro-tem.

Question 5 - Design Review Board Terms- Charter amendment resolving conflict between Charter and Municipal Code regarding Design Review Board member terms. PASSED - Yes: 236 | No: 154
At its regular meeting on Wednesday, June 18, the Mountain Village Town Council unanimously voted to approve a resolution to postpone ballot question 6 — a proposed 5% excise tax on ski lift ticket taxes — from the June 24, 2025 election to a special election on November 4, 2025.
The new election date for this ballot measure will provide additional time for the town to consult with affected stakeholders regarding the proposed tax and ballot language before the next ski season begins. Learn more.
