After serving on the Mountain Village Design Review Board for 12 years, David Eckman's last DRB meeting will be Thursday, March 25. Eckman has reached the limit of his term on the board. The Town of Mountain Village would like to thank Eckman for his expertise and attention to detail while serving on the board for the past 12 years.

Eckman brought his impressive background in architecture engineering and construction management to each DRB meeting.

"Once you get far into your career, I feel like there's a professional commitment and obligation to give back to the community, and serving on DRB allowed me to do just that," Eckman said.

Through his time on the board, he has served as both board chair and a board member.

"I have really appreciated Dave's knowledge of the Community Development Code, particularly when I came onboard in Mountain Village," said Mountain Village Director of Planning and Development Services Michelle Haynes. "The other board members often looked to Dave for his specific input either about the code or his knowledge of building and building systems."

Eckman has a broad background in construction management and engineering and most recently hasbeen the COO and partner for Proset Construction for the past four years.

"My philosophy has always been to put aside my personal preference and opinion and take the regulations and implement them with conformance, with an interest in representing those owners," Eckman said.
