Boulevard Trail work to run through summer
The Town of Mountain Village has begun work on the next phase of the Boulevard Trail as part of its Trails Master Plan implementation. Trail work will take place from Elkstone Driveway to the Galloping Goose Bridge.
Project mobilization began the week of June 9, and tree work is scheduled to begin the week of June 16. During this phase, trail users can expect occasional trail detours. Signage will be posted during these times to guide users safely around work areas. We ask that all trail users please observe posted signage for their safety.
The trail will be permanently rerouted into the woods on the west end of the project area to get it further away from Mountain Village Boulevard. This will make for a more maintainable design, providing a more enjoyable user experience, especially during the winter months.
Boulevard traffic may also experience brief interruptions when larger trees are being removed. These vehicular traffic stops will be brief, and flaggers will be positioned to direct traffic safely during these operations.
The work is expected to run through September 2025
