Gondola's last day of winter service: Sunday, April 6; buses to run through Wednesday, May 21
This Sunday, April 6, 2025, will be the gondola’s last day of operation before closing for several weeks of required spring maintenance. It will close at midnight.
The gondola will reopen for the summer season on Thursday, May 22 and run through Sunday, October 19, 2025.
The gondola, which connects Mountain Village and Telluride, closes each fall and spring for routine safety inspections and maintenance. As an alternative, a free bus service is offered during this time.
The San Miguel Authority For Regional Transportation (SMART) operates this bus route with its green buses. Buses will run throughout the day with stops in Lawson Hill, Mountain Village and Telluride. An express route will also run between Market Plaza and the Telluride Court House. View the bus schedule in English and Spanish on our website.
Winter parking rates will no longer be in effect as of Monday, April 7 and spring/summer parking rates will be posted to the Town's website next week.
