Local resources for mental health issues & suicide prevention services

Categories:

Mountain Village and the Mountain Village Police Department would like to remind our community at-large of the risks of suicide and to know that there is a wealth of resources available for those in crisis, especially as we enter the second year of pandemic-related stress.

The Mountain Village/Telluride region has a wealth of resources available for those in mental health crisis, and these services are now more important than ever as our county and state shelter in place.

Center for Mental Health Support Line

Feeling anxious, sad, depressed, angry is normal in these uncertain times. If you need help, reach out to the Center for Mental Health's support line at (970) 252-6220. The center support line is a free 24-hour call line open to our community during difficult times.

The Center for Mental Health is dedicated to providing mental health services throughout the Western Slope serving residents in six counties: San Miguel, Ouray, Montrose, Hinsdale, Gunnison and Delta.

San Miguel Resource Center

The San Miguel Resource Center is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. They remain committed to seeing people in crisis by appointment only during the Stay at Home order.

Their 24-hour helpline is (844) 816-3915. Please call this number to schedule an appointment or if you feel. unsafe.

If you need help and are unable to speak safely, you can chat now at thehotline.org or text LOVEIS to 22522.

If you have a friend or family member you are concerned about, check in on them as well.
