Market on the Plaza begins June 11; runs Wednesdays through September 10, 2025
The Town of Mountain Village is pleased to announce that the annual Market on the Plaza will start on Wednesday, June 11, and run each Wednesday through Sept. 10, 2025.
Mountain Village’s pedestrian-friendly Heritage Plaza comes alive with tents each Wednesday beginning June 11 with vendors selling farm-fresh produce and food, crafts and health products and more for the annual Market on the Plaza. The Market will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each week with live music each week 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Wilkinson Public Library puts on a free show for the kids (and kids at heart) at 11 a.m. at the Market.
“The Market on the Plaza saw a tremendous growth in interest from vendors this summer with twice as many new applicants as we usually see,” said Business Development and Market Manager Molly Norton. “We have a great group of vendors who continue to return year after year as well as a variety of new vendors. From fly tying and casting lessons to new ag, produce and baked goods vendors and homemade caramels, we’re very excited about our new vendors this summer."
"Plan on grabbing lunch at the Market every Wednesday this summer. Our food vendors doubled this summer with Dunton Kitchen, the Sawpit Mercantile, Suck It Fruity and Wildflour Bakery joining the Market as well as our returning long-timer plaza vendors," Norton added.
Now in its 15th year, Market on the Plaza is a vibrant local community market that prides itself on supporting regional and local businesses offering homegrown food and homemade products. The Market also features programming for kids and their families, as well as live music each week.
Shoppers can expect to find an array of farm produce, including eggs, fruits and vegetables, meat, goat milk and cheeses, jams and marmalades, garden herbs and more. In addition, the Market offers the perfect lunch venue with a variety of food vendors and Mountain Village businesses offering tacos, sandwiches and more.
Market on the Plaza also features leather products, jewelry, candles, textiles, hand-carved wood items, healing products, fresh flowers and handmade soaps, balms and lotions, among other items.
