Mountain Munchkins hosts fifth annual Family Date Night, Friday, November 11

After a three-year hiatus, due to the pandemic, Mountain Munchkins’ annual fundraising event Family Date Night returns to the Telluride Conference Center on Friday, November 11, 2022.

All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund at Mountain Munchkins, Mountain Village’s childcare center located at Village Court Apartments.

The fun evening will feature a bouncy castle, a ski pass raffle, silent auction, heavy appetizers and a screening of the film “Sing.”

Admission is $15 (and $10 for kids 12 and under), and there will also be a raffle to win a season’s Telluride Ski Resort pass with raffle tickets available for $10. There will be a cash bar available for adults as well. Family Date Night will take place 5-8 p.m. and the movie will begin at 5:30 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer Family Date Night to the community once again,” said Director of Childcare Dawn Katz. “The staff at Mountain Munchkins really appreciates the community support for this event. It’s a great time with great people for a great cause. Proceeds will help us provide financial assistance to qualified families through our scholarship program.”

Established in 1996, Mountain Munchkins is a licensed infant, toddler and preschool center located at Village Court Apartments in Mountain Village. As a year-round program, it primarily provides childcare service to families who work in the Mountain Village and Telluride region and is the only infant childcare center in San Miguel County at this time.

Mountain Munchkins is owned, operated and subsidized by the Town of Mountain Village, and supported by grant-funding organizations like the Telluride Foundation, Just For Kids Foundation, CCAASE, Strong Start Strong Community and Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation.
