Mountain Village to offer Dinner & A Movie at Telluride Conference Center on September 20 and 21

The Town of Mountain Village is pleased to announce a new movie night series, Dinner & A Movie at the Telluride Conference Center. The first two movie nights will be Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.

On Friday, September 20, the film will be “IF,” screening at 6 p.m. with doors at 5 p.m. and Saturday, September 21, will feature “Dune: Part 2” screening at 7 p.m. with doors at 6 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for kids 18 and under and can be purchased online in advance or at the door.

A full dinner menu, bar and concessions will be available for purchase both nights, and the theater will feature dining tables in the back, traditional seats in the middle and floor seating in the front. There will be beanbags up front and moviegoers are welcome to bring their own seating or blanket for a comfortable viewing experience.

From writer and director John Krasinski, “IF” is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten Ifs with their kids. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds, Krasinski, Steve Carell and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

“Dune: Part Two” explores the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee. The film stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walker and Javier Bardem.

“With the Town now directly overseeing Telluride Conference Center operations, we’re excited to kick off what will be the first of many community-centric events in the space,” said Economic Development Director J.D. Wise. “This will be a great opportunity to come and enjoy a film in a fun and inviting environment complete with a fantastic dinner menu, concessions and full bar.”

This event is sponsored by Citizens State Bank and the Town and Conference Center plan to host more regular Dinner & A Movie evenings for the community in October and beyond.

“As we look to the future, we’re revisioning the ways that we can best utilize the Conference Center as a community hub and event space, and we look forward to offering many more great events for our locals and guests alike,” Wise added.
