
Mountain Village Town Council election recount confirms original results
Following a candidate-requested recount of the June 24, 2025, Town Council ballots the Mountain Village Town Council election results have been confirmed and are unchanged.
The recount was requested by candidate Heather Knox and conducted on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 by the Mountain Village Clerk's Office.
The recount process reaffirmed that candidates Huascar E. Gomez (Rick), Harvey Mogenson, and Alline Arguelles were elected to the Mountain Village Town Council to serve four-year terms.
Of the 998 Mountain Village ballots issued, 411 ballots were cast by mail or in-person, representing a 46.55 percent voter turnout.
Ballot questions 1-5 were not part of the recount request.
Confirmed Election Results
The recount validated the following vote totals from the June 24, 2025 Town Council election:
- Huascar E. Gomez (Rick): 234 votes
- Harvey Mogenson: 189 votes
- Alline Arguelles: 152 votes
- Heather Knox: 151 votes
- Michael Kirn: 110 votes
- Jonathan Greenspan: 91 votes
- Bradford Hewitt: 79 votes

We look forward to continuing to partner with Mr. Gomez and Mr. Mogensen, and welcoming Ms. Arguelles as we work together on behalf of the Mountain Village community.”
The newly elected council members will be sworn in at the July 17, 2025 Mountain Village Town Council Meeting, where they will join current council members Marti Prohaska, Peter Duprey, Scott Pearson, and Tucker Magid. At that meeting, town council members will vote to appoint the positions of mayor and mayor pro-tem.
