The Town of Mountain Village is pleased to announce that the annual Market on the Plaza will start Wednesday, June 16, and run each Wednesday through Sept. 15, 2021.
Mountain Village’s pedestrian-friendly Heritage Plaza comes alive with tents each Wednesday beginning June 16 with vendors selling farm-fresh produce and food, crafts and health products and more for the annual Market on the Plaza. Patrons can also enjoy Mountain Village’s Common Consumption Area as they peruse the Market’s offerings. The Market will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m each week with live music each week 12-4 p.m.
“We are thrilled to return to Heritage Plaza this summer with Market on the Plaza,” said Business Development and Sustainability Director Zoe Dohnal. Due to the market’s success last year, we decided to extend the markets two more weeks into September. Our market motto, ‘local made, local grown and local loved’ is more important than ever as we continue to celebrate local produce, jewelry, food and more.”
Now in its eleventh year, Market on the Plaza is a vibrant local community market providing an avenue to support regional and local businesses that offer homegrown food and homemade products.
“We look forward to another fun and successful Market on the Plaza,” said Mountain Village Mayor Laila Benitez. “I encourage everyone to come out and support the Market and our local farmers and merchants.”
Shoppers can expect to find a wide array of farm produce, including eggs, fruits and vegetables, goat milk and cheeses, jams and marmalades, garden herbs and oils.
Market on the Plaza also features leathers, jewelry, quilts, textiles, handmade soaps, balms and lotions, hand-carved wood items, healing products, and kitchen goods, among other items.
