Voter registration information for November 5, 2024 election
On November 5, 2024, both resident and non-resident registered voters in the Town of Mountain Village will be eligible to vote on ballot question 3A, an initiative referred by the San Miguel Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) that seeks voter approval for funding for the continued operation and maintenance of the region's iconic gondola.
The deadline to register to vote on the November 5, 2024 Ballot Issue is 5 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2024. The San Miguel County Clerk's Office will mail ballots to registered voters on October 11, 2024.

Resident Voter Registration Requirements
- Electors must be at least 18 years old on the election date.
- Must be registered to vote with the State of Colorado-residents should register at govotecolorado.com.
- For address changes, please complete a Change of Address Request Form.
- To verify your voter registration status with the State of Colorado visit govotecolorado.com.
- Resident voters will receive their ballot by mail and must return it to the San Miguel County Clerk's Office by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5.
Non-Resident Property Owner Requirements:
- Electors must be at least 18 years old on the election date.
- Hold the title to a property in your natural name, not in the name of a trust, partnership, corporation, etc.
- Owner of record of real property for 30 consecutive days immediately prior to the election date, during which time you have owned at least 50 percent of the fee title interest in the real property. However, such property interest shall not include ownership of parking spaces, religious or other charitable facilities, hotel units, roads or common areas intended for non-profit use.
- To register to vote as a non-resident, you must complete the Mountain Village Voter Registration Form and submit it to the Town of Mountain Village Clerk's Department by 5 p.m. Monday, October 7.
- Non-resident voters will receive a ballot with just Queston 3A and must return it to the San Miguel County Clerk's Office by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5.
