Helicopter work to remove dead timber is expected to begin Wednesday, October 9, 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. A number of trails on the Valley Floor (including Boomerang Road, Jurassic and Stegosaurus) will be closed for public safety while the helicopter is in operation. San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) provides our region with safe, reliable and responsible electric service. SMPA is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric cooperative with about 10,000 members in its service territory covering seven counties in western Colorado and more than 3,600 square miles.

If you are new to the SMPA service area, you will need to download an application. To manage your SMPA account and pay your bill online, you will need to visit the power company’s website.
