Dinner & A Movie

The Town of Mountain Village's next installation of Dinner & A Movie is on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23. "The Wizard of Oz" will be screened on Saturday, March 22 at 6 p.m. (doors at 5 p.m.) and "Wicked" will be screened on Sunday, March 23 at 6 p.m. (doors at 5 p.m.)

"Wizard of Oz" (rated G) - A young farm girl and her little dog are magically transported into the enchanted land of Oz via a Kansas tornado. As they travel down Oz's Yellow Brick Road to find the Wizard and ask him to send them home, they encounter a wonderful, funny, terrifying and, ultimately, enlightening group of characters, human and otherwise. This 1939 award-winning film classic (Best Score and Best Song Academy Awards) is a perennial favorite that has recently been meticulously restored.

"Wicked" (rated PG) - Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart.

Admission for each night is $15 for adults and $10 for kids 18 and under and can be purchased online in advance or at the door. Advanced ticket link will be available in March 2025.

A full dinner menu, bar and concessions will be available for purchase both nights, and the theater will feature dining tables in the back, traditional seats in the middle and floor seating in the front. There will be beanbags up front and moviegoers are welcome to bring their own seating or blanket for a comfortable viewing experience.
