Frick Frack Blackjack with the Telluride Gold Kings and Lavalanche

The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents Frick Frack Blackjack with The Telluride Gold Kings and Lavalanche live in concert on Friday, August 5th, 2022. doors at 8:00 p.m., music starts at 8:30 p.m. and will go until 11:45 p.m. at the historic Sheridan Opera House. All proceeds will go to enhance the Sheridan Opera House lighting rig. Frick Frack Blackjack is a no cash, no limit barter blackjack experience that combines one part comedy show with one part interactive performance art exhibit. Live music with TWO bands, the Telluride Gold Kings and Lavalanche, make this a night like no other at the historic Sheridan Opera House. Bring anything but cash (clothes, something you find in the free box, an old toaster.. ANYTHING!) to bet and see what you end up with! 8pm - Doors, Frick Frack Blackjack tables open! 8:30pm - The Telluride Gold Kings 10:15PM - Lavalanche Like the Beatles, The Telluride Gold Kings are four musicians. Like the Beatles, two of their members, Brian (bass, vocals) and Neal (lead guitar, vocals) reside in the industrial city, while Ashley (drums, vocals) and Steve (Rhythm guitar, vocals) hail from the working class suburbs. And like The Beatles, their performances have been known to cast their audiences into an almost feverish frenzy… So put on your dancin’ shoes! A force of nature sliding down the mountainside, Lavalanche rocks a fiery but smooth 1960's rhythm and blues based around the notable Hammond B3 organ sound. With Mike Enriquez on the Hammond B3 organ, John "Sully" Sullivan on the drum set, and Tyler Simmons on the electric guitar, this trio gives inertia to a Lavalanche. Their funky sound erupts with a retro danceability while using contemporary tonal modulation to shape landscapes. Tickets are $25 general admission only, plus a $5 ticketing fee. All ticket sales are final.
