Mountain Village Forestry Workshop

On Tuesday May 30, 2023, learn about the Town of Mountain Village's Forestry Program and meet Forester Rodney Walters with a Forestry Workshop in Town Hall Council Chambers.

Join us in a discussion about the Town of Mountain Village Forestry Program including the Mountain Village Cedar Shake Roof Replacement Incentive Program, the Defensive Space Incentive Program, and other Forestry Program services. Enjoy a discussion session where you may talk with a local and regional forester about tree and forestry-related subjects such as forest benefits; tree and forest health; trees and forest types of Mountain Village; the importance of active forest management, the wildland-urban interface; insects and disease; wildfire; home hardening; defensive space; and other forestry-related subjects. This conversation is sure to be informative and thought-provoking as we explore aspects of the trees that make the surrounding area and the Town Mountain Village such a special place to live, work and play.
