Plazas

The public plazas in Mountain Village are at the heart of our community and host a variety of events, commercial establishments and outdoor activities for your enjoyment. If you wish to utilize a public plaza to enhance your Mountain Village business or special event, we’d love to hear from you by or by submitting a Special Event or Long Term Plaza Use Application.

Market Plaza

Market Plaza is home to Mountain Village Town Hall. Here you will find our local government offices, our free gondola transportation connecting to Village Center, and the Town of Telluride, free and overnight parking at Gondola Station Parking, our grocery store, food, beverage, retail shops, Disc Golf, skiing, snowboarding and other recreational access.

Heritage Plaza

Heritage Plaza is located in the vibrant Mountain Village Center. The plaza is steps from the gondola that connects Mountain Village to Telluride, and surrounded by restaurants, shops, kid-friendly activities, nightlife and much more!

Reflection Plaza

Reflection Plaza is located adjacent to the Hotel Madeline & Residences in Village Center. In the winter, this plaza is the home to the Mountain Village Ice Rink and serves as a kid-friendly turf and play in the summer for families to enjoy. Sunset Plaza

Sunset Plaza nestled in the heart of Mountain Village, aptly named for its west-facing orientation resulting in excellent sun exposure and fantastic sunset views. Enjoy memorable sunsets, stunning views and historical events.

Sunset Plaza is easily accessible by foot or gondola. Once in the Village Center, stroll through Heritage Plaza where many of the town’s shops and restaurants are located before following the cobblestone walkway to Sunset Plaza.

As always, the gondola from Telluride provides a breathtaking (and free) means of traveling to Mountain Village. Plan to spend the evening in Mountain Village – dining at one of the numerous restaurants, wandering the shops, and taking in the spectacular views.

Sunset Plaza is home to many summer events, including the renowned Sunset Concert Series, and other notable concerts!

Village Center

Reminiscent of an alpine ski village, with beautiful expansive plaza spaces throughout, be sure to explore the rest of our Village Center.

Conference Center

This outdoor space, adjacent to the Telluride Conference Center, offers a perfect area for events and play! Be sure to spectate bouldering or unwind with a great meal at the Village Table and drink at the Telluride Distilling Company Tasting Room.

Village Pond

Take a tour of the Wagner Custom Ski Shop adjacent to the Village Pond. Enjoy sitting by the water feeding the local ducks or get your retail fix at Heritage Apparel and Bootdoctors.

Gondola

Home to the Mountain Village Center gondola stations, this space is your stop for the Resort Store and Colorado 145 Jeep rentals.

Oak Street Lawn

Your gondola ride to Mountain Village begins at the Telluride station and Oak Street plaza. While located in the Town of Telluride, this lawn and plaza space is owned and managed by the Town of Mountain Village. Years of events and festivities have thrived in this space.
