Professional Background/Occupation:

Certified Public Accountant with a focus on International Tax

Ernst & Young (EY) for 20 years; Partner for 10 years, headed up the International Tax Department in Washington, DC

Morgan Stanley for 18 years; Managing Director; Global Head of Tax

US Treasury Department in Washington, DC; Special Advisor in the Office of Tax Policy - International

Length of Time as Town Resident:

10 years, 16 years as a homeowner

Previous Political Experience/Specific Qualifications:

Town of Mountain Village Council - July 2021 to present.

I also have experience with non-profits for many years, including as a Board Member and the Treasurer for a performing arts organization and venue in Brooklyn, NY called National Sawdust.

My other qualifications are my professional training and experience in Finance, where I learned critical problem solving skills At both EY and Morgan Stanley, I achieved senior level positions which required that I not only use my technical knowledge and experience but also to use managerial and leadership skills. My professional career has been in Financial Services where it is very important to understand the needs of the client (Mountain Village community) and how to provide professional advice to meet the needs of the client. I also believe that my professional peers would say that I can successfully match "practical common sense" with my technical or financial skills.

Reasons You Would Like to Serve:

I would like to continue to serve my community; the entire community of Mountain Village. For the last four years, I believe the community of Mountain Village has benefited from my professional experience and hard work. In my first term, I have learned a lot and I would like to continue applying that knowledge and working hard to benefit my community. In addition to my regular duties as a Council Member, I have actively participated as a member of the Finance Committee, the Arts Committee, the SMART Board and several Town and regional Gondola Committees. I look forward to working hard, on Council and these important Committees, to help set the best direction for the community on these and other issues.

Other Information You Want to Include:

My wife, Gwen, and I are active skiers and moderate hikers. We have two adult age sons, Mike and Andy. My hobby is photography, which is really just another excuse to get outside to enjoy our beautiful location and go to as many National Parks as possible. We also enjoy traveling, both to see our children/grand-daughter and to see the world.
