Tucker Magid

Position: Town Council Member

What brought you here?

I first visited Mountain Village in the winter on a Telluride ski trip with friends in the mid-’90s and instantly fell in love with everything this community has to offer. We then vacationed as a family in both winter and summer for a number of years and eventually moved into our home in 2017.

What motivated you to run for Town Council?

My wife, Cindy, and I feel extremely fortunate to live in this region and try take advantage of all it has to offer. While the Mountain Village is an amazing community and has unequaled beauty, I believe we are at a pivotal time in the region. We have several significant issues facing our town and the region that will impact our community for years to come. I want to be part of the team that works collaboratively to help solve these critical issues to keep the Mountain Village an incredible place to live, work, play and raise a family for decades to come.

Describe one of your goals or objectives for Mountain Village.

I would like Mountain Village to continue to be a leader in working with our regional partners to solve the big issues facing the area; not the least of which is affordable housing. It will be important that we involve all the regional stakeholders so that all our collective resources and ideas are brought to the table.

What challenges you most about being an elected official?

Realizing that many people that live in Mountain Village have varied interests and strong opinions about matters facing our community and it is not possible to please everyone on every issue.
