Wild West Fest
Location: Mountain Village
Since 1991, the Sheridan Arts Foundation has raised more than $40,000 each year to bring 35-50 underserved youth from Boys & Girls Clubs from around the country, Nucla and Naturita to Telluride for a week of nurturing, child-centered mentorship programs and fascinating cultural experiences as a part of the Chip Allen Mentorship Program (CAMP). Each year, the kids get to experience wonderful adventures like horseback riding, traversing around Telluride’s breathtaking landscapes, learning traditional Apache hoop dancing, creating a band with Rock & Roll Academy and performing it live on the historic Sheridan Opera House stage, learning the art of fly-fishing, and so much more.
